Privacy by architecture

Most PPC tools want OAuth into your Amazon Advertising account. We do not. BidWar Audit cannot read your account, your campaigns, or your historical data — by design. Your CSV is parsed in your browser by a Web Worker; the detection algorithm runs locally and produces the report on your machine.

For paid audits, your browser encrypts the finding payload with a fresh AES-GCM-256 key. The encrypted payload + the key are stored next to each other in our database, released back to your browser only against your paid order. We technically can read it; we technically don't. Same trust model as Notion shared docs or any password-protected blob — but with the algorithm published open-source so the claim is verifiable.

What touches our servers, ever: your email (Stripe collects it), your payment metadata (Stripe handles it), your encrypted finding payload, your aggregate recoverable $/mo (used for pricing). What never does: your raw CSV, your campaign names in plaintext, or any Amazon credentials.

FAQ

What is "internal bid war"?
When two of your own Sponsored Products campaigns target the same search term — manual broad and an auto campaign, for example — you bid against yourself, paying more per click than the same keyword would otherwise cost.
What counts as a $0 audit?
Recoverable monthly waste of $100 or less (lower-bound estimate). In that case the full finding list is shown for free and you can optionally email yourself a PDF.
Can I re-run with a new CSV?
Yes — paid audits include unlimited re-analyses for 30 days. Your tier is locked at purchase, so paying once means re-runs stay at the tier you bought (even if a later CSV shows higher impact).
How does my data stay private?
The CSV is parsed in your browser using a Web Worker. For paid audits we store the encrypted finding payload + an aggregate recoverable amount only. Decryption keys are released against your paid order. See "Privacy by architecture" for details.
Which Amazon report do I need?
Sponsored Products → Reports → Search Term Report. Date range your choice — last 30–60 days is typical. Save as CSV.
How accurate is the dollar-impact estimate?
We show the lower bound (sum of overlapping spend × 0.4). The truth is somewhere between that and the upper bound assuming all the overlapping spend was redundant. The report explains the math.
Do you refund?
You don’t pre-pay — there’s nothing to refund. You only pay after seeing your top findings and aggregate recoverable amount. If something goes technically wrong, email support and we’ll handle it via the Stripe dashboard.
